Learnosity Scoops Multiple SIIA CODiE Award Nominations
We are delighted to announce that Learnosity has been named as a finalist for three 2015 SIIA Software CODiE Awards: Best Education Cloud-based Solution, Best K-12 Enterprise Solution, and Best ELL/World Language Acquisition Instructional Solution. As the premier award for the software and information industries, the SIIA CODiE Awards have been recognizing product excellence for 30 years. To be selected as an SIIA CODiE Award finalist is an especially prestigious honor, as each finalist has been selected by a combination of educators, who act as initial judges by selecting finalists from among all nominees.
Compared to the one nomination we received in 2014, this year’s three 2015 finalist nominations reflects how Learnosity has grown over the last 12 months. “We are delighted that Learnosity was recognised for our innovative and high-impact, contributions to the educational technology industry” said Learnosity Founder and CEO, Gavin Cooney. “To be acknowledged as leaders in providing Cloud-based Solutions, Language Instruction Solutions, and K-12 Enterprise Solutions is phenomenal and provides important recognition of the value we bring to our customers every single day. Learnosity will be aiming not only to defend the 2014 SIIA CODiE Award for Best K-12 Enterprise Solution we won last year, but also add a couple more trophies to our cabinet.”
In addition to Learnosity’s own nominations, products that are powered by Learnosity’s white-labeled assessment solution received a further 6 nominations. Gavin continued, “Congratulations to our partners who were also nominated and who we are proud to be working closely with. For Learnosity, our success as a company is based on how well we can help our partners build great assessment products”
At Learnosity we operate a B2B, Software as a Service solution which provides our clients – educational publishers as well as testing organisations – with the key components required to develop any assessment solution.
“We believe that we can deliver on the promise of great technology in education by doing the undifferentiated heavy lifting for assessment. Our partners get us to handle the bulk of the difficult, technical aspects of delivering assessment digitally, allowing them to concentrate on creating great content. With the Learnosity SaaS offering, our partners avail of really advanced assessment technology instantly, reducing their development costs and letting them get to market much, much quicker. The CODiE finalist nominations validate that Learnosity is succeeding at bringing innovation to education.”
“This year’s finalists are breaking ground with new business models and innovative products. We are pleased to recognize the best in educational technology with these 157 products,” said said Karen Billings, vice president and managing director of the ETIN-SIIA. “I look forward to honoring them all in May at the Education Industry Summit.”
We are already looking forward to May 5th in San Francisco when all Education winners will be announced during a special awards dinner at the nation’s leading education technology conference, the Education Industry Summit.

About the SIIA CODiE™ Awards
The SIIA CODiE™ Awards, originally called the Excellence in Software Awards, were established in 1986 by the Software Publishers Association (SPA), now the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), so that pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other’s work. Since then, the CODiE Awards program has carried out the same purpose – to showcase the software and information industry’s finest products and services and to honor excellence in corporate achievement.
