Apache Deflate Howto


For my own reference, settings to turn on apache mod_deflate.

This sets turns it on for everything except gif,jpeg,png or mp3, as these are already well compressed.


SetOutputFilter DEFLATE
SetEnvIfNoCase Request_URI
.(?:gif|jpe?g|png|mp3)$ no-gzip dont-vary
